Notebooks Students will be responsible for recording their homework and other reminders on their "Weekly Planner" page. We ask that a parent or guardian sign (or initial) these pages, as it is a great way to communicate. A monthly newsletter will be sent digitally on Tuesday. It will contain content information, upcoming dates, weekly and general fifth grade information that is important, and other important information. In their binders, students will also bring home their homework, and graded papers.
Homework Students will have Math homework called nightly. They may have additional assignments if they have not completed tasks in class. You should find that homework should take no more than 20-50 minutes each night. Please send a note if your child seems to be struggling with the homework. If homework is not completed, time will be given to complete homework during free time.
Behavior The Fifth Grade Team will use DoJO, along with other special incentives to motivate and create positive behaviors in the classroom. Your child will receive a warning before consequences such as contacting parents will occur.
